Gather is a full-service restaurant and bar overlooking Boston Harbor.
A refuge from the hustle and bustle of District Hall, Gather is a place where creative minds can treat
themselves to top quality food and drink.
We believe local is better, and that’s why all of our ingredients are sourced from neighboring areas whenever possible.
Gather is inside the world’s first free-standing innovation center, District Hall. It is a one-of-a-kind building for hosting events and meetings in
Boston’s bustling Seaport District. The public lounge is open as a free workspace every day! District Hall is a program of the Venture Café Foundation,
a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit. Their mission is to broaden, connect, and support the innovation community.
Chef Dennis Wilson
Raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, Chef Dennis Wilson made his first foray into the restaurant industry at the age of fifteen working in his local Friendly’s.
After graduating from the Connecticut Culinary Institute, his first stop was Horizons Restaurant, a popular, casual dining restaurant in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Subsequent stops included Dalia’s Bistro tin Brookline and an extended stay at Circadia Bistro in Harwich Port on Cape Cod. Working alongside Chef Franck Champely, Wilson developed his palate and learned refined French techniques.
In 2004, Wilson joined the team at Azure at the Lenox Hotel in Boston’s Back Bay. Hired originally as a Line Cook, Wilson was soon named Sous Chef and then Executive Sous Chef, then stepping into the role of Executive Chef in 2008. In 2009 he successfully helped transform Azure into what is now City Table. Housed in the same location at the Lenox, the shift was made from white table cloth dining to a more casual neighborhood eatery with the same great quality and creative menu items.
In 2013, Wilson was on the opening team for Gather and currently leads all food and beverage for the restaurant, Brew, and District Hall.
